Forum has been the quintessential post-WWII architectural magazine in the Netherlands, most famously during the editorship of Aldo van Eyck and Jaap Bakema starting from 1959 which among others popularized the movement of Dutch structuralism.

The magazine Forum was an organ of the society Architectura et Amicitia, founded in 1946 in collaboration with the Royal Society for the Promotion of Architecture or the Association of Dutch Architects (Koninklijke Maatschappij tot Bevordering der Bouwkunst of de Bond van Nederlandse Architecten). itself The magazine’s fullt title was Forum for Architecture and Related Arts (Forum voor architectuur en daarmee verbonden kunsten), in other words, as a platform for architects and practitioners of the applied arts.
